With these objectives in mind, NIIT IFBI in collaboration with ICICI Bank has created a program - Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Relationship Banking program. The objective of this program is to build a pool of Value Banker for ICICI Bank, who can sustain the growing momentum of the sector and help it achieve new levels of profitability and customer responsiveness. To that end, expert faculty from industry, have designed a comprehensive portfolio of training programs and developed relevant course content that hones the soft and hard skills needed by new-age banks, thus creating first-day-first-hour industry-ready entry-level professionals. In short, a modern banking professional, for a modern banking sector!

The assignments and nature of work, as part of the internship and final placement, allotted to the student are sole prerogative of ICICI Bank. Sales is an essential part of the role. The Program internship will be combination of both Sales and Service.

About the Programme


Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Relationship Banking is a five month intensive career program with two months of full-time classes followed by three months of paid internship. The program is unique in its content as well in its methodology. Selected candidates who are shortlisted for admission to the PGDSRB program will be granted admission with placement assurance at the time of admission (subject to the fulfillment of specific academic and non - academic criteria).

Duration: 45 days classroom training & 3 month internship.


The students who completes the classroom training successfully will undergo supervised internship in ICICI bank and on successful completion, will be offered confirmed employment in ICICI bank.



1. Who should join this course?

Graduates from any stream (with or without work experience) with age between 19-25 years (at the training start date) and who are interested to have a rewarding career in ICICI Bank.

2. What is the selection process?

Candidates will need to appear for

  • IFBI Common Entrance Test (ICET) (which tests Numerical Comprehension, Verbal Comprehension, Series Completion & Basic aptitude)
  • ICICI Bank Sales Profiler Test (that checks a candidate's aptitude for sales profiles)
  • English Proficiency Test (where student's basic English writing skills are evaluated)
  • Personal Interview.

A candidate who clears all the above rounds is eligible to register for the program.

3. What is the job role post successful completion of the course?

The program comes with offer of placement from ICICI Bank. On successful completion of the course, the candidates will be absorbed in the bank but the exact assignment and nature of the work will be sole prerogative of ICICI Bank. Sales will be an essential feature of all the possible roles.

4. What topics are covered as a part of the curriculum?

Topics covered will be: Basics of Banking, Skills and Attitude @ Workplace, English Language Skills, Regulatory Environment, Generic Product, NISM – National Institute of Securities Markets, ICICI Bank Processes, ICICI Bank Products, ASBO – Application Software Banking Operations (Finacle/ICORE, ICICI Policy, ISAS-Information Search and Analysis Skills.

5. What are the pre-requisites for the enrollment?

There are as such no pre-requisites for enrollments except the eligibility criteria.

6. What certificates will I be receiving for this course?

Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Relationship Banking

P.S. NISM Series V-A preparation will be covered in the course curriculum. But it is up to the individual student to register and sit for the certification on his/her own. NIIT will play no role in the actual certification.
